Zareen is a 4th year student and the co-President of the HRSA. She graduated from Centennial College and went to Ryerson to further pursue her passion for HR. She has worked in different departments at Ryerson as a Customer Service Specialists and a English Language Support Facilitator. She would like to gain further experience in the HR field and pursue a career in upper management. Family is a very important thing for Zareen. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her niece who is ball of energy!


Gordon Su

Gordon is a 4th year student and is the co-President with Zareen. Gordon and Zareen work together to make the HRSA run smoothly and work pro-actively with all directors to ensure the mission of the HRSA is brought to life. Gordon has worked as an Assistant Manager at Canada’s Wonderland, an HR Assistant at UPS, and a Sales Specialist at PetSmart for over 2 years. In fact, he worked all 3 jobs in one summer at one point! Gordon is heavily involved at Ryerson as well, being a critical member of the Ryerson Dragonboat Team as well other student groups. He is also pursuing his certification to become a Registered Real Estate Professional. In the future, he wants to work in upper management in HR and work as a real estate agent.


Jennifer Ngo
Director of Logistics

Jennifer is a 4th year student and our Director of Logistics. As last year’s HRSA Project Manager, Jennifer takes care of internal communication and is the backbone of the organization. She ensures everything runs smoothly and supports all directors in their duties, whether it be booking rooms, equipment, and anything logistics for events and promotions. Without her, we’d be like a bicycle with no frame! Recently, Jennifer has worked for the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca as a Pricing and Contracting Intern. For the past 5 years, she has also worked for the City of Toronto as a Piano Instructor. She has completed her Royal Conservatory of Music exams and is officially certified as a teacher. This has given her the skills to be an excellent trainer and very approachable. You might catch her jamming in the HRSA office from time to time! In the future, she wants to continue teaching piano and be part of the HR department in training and development.


Kevin Huynh
Director of External Relations

Kevin is a 4th year student and our wise Director of External Relations. This is his second year in the position and seeks to connect more business partners with the HRSA. Last year, he established a business relationship between the Human Resources Professional Association and the HRSA so that students could proceed with professional development with this accredited program. Currently, Kevin works with TD Bank as a Customer Service Representative. A little known fact about Kevin is that he loves sports. He can often be seen on the slopes snowboarding or on the tennis court. It is yet to be seen who would win in a match if it was Stefan vs Kevin!


Ernest Mistica

Ernest is a 3rd year student and our Director of Marketing and Communication. He is responsible for all event promotions, social media, and anything related to the HRSA brand. He is pursuing a double major in Marketing and HR and finds his position at the HRSA to be the perfect place to utilize both majors. He has worked in many different fields, from the food and beverage industry at Hero Certified Burgers for 2 years and Starbucks for 4 years, to being a Promotions Reps at a marketing firm, to his current job as Sales Support at ADP Canada. His career aspirations would be to work his way up to VP Marketing or VP Human Resources at a large corporation. Until then, he is working towards his CHRP and plans to get his MBA in either Marketing or Organizational Behaviour. In his spare time, Ernest plays in a ska/reggae band and works as an event/concert freelance photographer. His motto is ‘Work hard, play harder’ so his creative outlets allow him not to go completely nuts from work/school!


Stefan Rustscheff

Stefan is a 4th year HR Major, and our Director of Finance. As Director of Finance, he is responsible for all budgets and finances that make the HRSA run. His interest in being our Director of Finance is obvious when looking at his job experience. He has worked at RBC for the last 4 years, 3 being a Client Service Representative and the rest as an Account Service Representative. In the future, he plans to work for large corporation in the HR department specializing in Compensation. He joined the HRSA to get more involved with his program and discover what the HR field had to offer. In his spare time, Stefan likes to play tennis or volunteer for Toronto HIV/Aids hospice. Tennis is in his blood so if you’re up for a match, come by the office! (Table-tennis will have to do until summer is here again.)


Anthony Nguyen
Director of Student Engagement

Anthony is a 3rd year student and our Director of Student Engagement. Since he is majoring in HR and minoring in Sales and Management Quality, he is a perfect fit to reach the student body with exciting and engaging new projects that will help all TRS students. His work experience is a further example of his passion to help others. He has been a Karate Instructor for many years, and has been a Sales Rep and Camp Counselor in the past. In the future, he would like to work in the HR Department for a large sized corporation and maybe one day pursue his martial arts entrepreneurial interests. He joined the HRSA to network with industry professionals and be part of an organization that would have an impact on TRSM students while gaining hands-on management skills. In his spare time, Anthony practices martial arts, and does weight training. He also loves to travel and spend quality time with friends and family, sometimes combining all 4 things at once!


Tijana Bilincic

Tijana is a 4th year HR major and our Director of Alumni Relations. As Director of Alumni Relations, she is the project lead for the HR Alumni Night, one of the HRSA’s biggest events that brings our alumni and student body together. She has been working for CIBC for over 2 years as an Assistant Branch Manager. In the future, she wants to pursue a Masters in Industrial Relations or in Leadership. She would like to work at a large-sized corporation in HR, and her ultimate goal is to start her own Consulting firm. In her spare time, she likes to volunteer (other than at the HRSA!) and keep her life busy. Despite maintaining a hectic schedule, she enjoys some downtime to travel, explore, and create new memories with friends and family.


Karen Roman
Director of the Organizational Behaviour Competition

Karen is a 3rd year student and one of the Directors of the Organizational Behaviour Competition (OBC). She is one of the project leads for one of the few case competitions at the Ted Rogers School of Management. She is currently working as a Sales Concierge/Receptionist at Mercedez-Benz. In the future, she is aspiring to work as a HR Executive at a company she is passionate about and proud to be part of.

Two passions in Karen’s life include travel and fashion. She would like to travel once she graduates and see more of the world and what it has to offer. She hopes her career can be something to connect her enthusiasm for working with people with her love for fashion.


Sanchita Agrawal
Director of the Organizational Behaviour Competition

Sanchita is a 4th year student and also the Director of the Organizational Behaviour Competition (OBC). As the other half of the project team for OBC, she is responsible for one of the biggest HR case competitions in Canada. She has worked as an Human Resources Intern at both Danier Leather and Habitat for Humanity, experiencing many different functions of HR from payroll to compensation to recruitment. She also has Sales and Customer Service experience Lowe’s and the Bombay company.

In the future, Sanchita is planning to pursue her Certified Human Resource Professional designation. After her undergrad, she also plans to continue her studies at a prestigious graduate school to obtain a dual degree in the JD/MBA program.


Justine Chiu
Director of Information Technology

Justine has been building websites and hard-coding HTML and CSS since 1999, and currently operates the Human Resources Students Association website. Her work experience includes photographing figure skating events, resumé and cover letter advisory for undergraduate students, retail sales and customer service, and graphic design. Her long-term dream is to manage an agency for creative professionals and to photograph for the National Geographic.
